Community Donations

We are so incredibly grateful for donations of masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, other personal protective equipment, and cleaning supplies.

Thanks to the generosity of Brain Brew Custom Whiskey, Matthew 25 Ministries, The Health Collaborative, Hamilton County Emergency Management Agency, Tieks, May We Help, Creative Connections, Active Day, Stacey Sherman, Rob Bosma, Beth Laage, Sew4Cincy, Rost and Fairfax schools, and Helping Hands, we have been able to distribute supplies to many providers and direct support professionals.

Tamie Peel, owner of Creative Connections, and Rebekah Elliott, owner of Eastside Day Academy, partnered at the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis to ensure both of their agencies had enough personal protective equipment and other needed supplies. Their families, friends and administrative staff were integral in gathering what both providers needed. Parents and people they support helped make masks for staff to wear.

They ended up with more gloves than they needed and donated the surplus to other providers in Hamilton County. "We are donating the gloves because it's the right thing to do and because kindness matters," Peel said, adding that she got to know many other providers when she worked with The Arc of Hamilton County. "I thought of all those faces and relationships I'd developed along the way, hoping they are all healthy, safe and prepared. I just hope our donation helps someone in need."
