Safety at HCDDS - Dec 19, 2012

Along with the rest of the nation, we are grieving about the unspeakable tragedy that occurred last week in Newtown, Connecticut, and our thoughts are with the families and the community.

This horrific violence has caused us to review the already extensive safety plans and procedures that we have in place. Each of our schools, adult centers and other buildings have a safety committee that meets regularly, and the agency has an overall safety committee. These committees will be re-evaluating our plans and procedures to make sure they are solid, and making changes where necessary.
