Cincinnati Metro's Access program has updated the emergency closing procedures if facilities are closed due to snow or other emergencies.

A memo from January 2016 outlines the current guidelines procedures:

Delays – If your agency has a delayed starting time, Access will be unable to provide later drop offs.  Due to the volume of trips each day, as well as the tight scheduling of reservations and trip planning, Access must remain on schedule.  In the event of a delayed starting time, please contact Mike Roth, MV General Manager at 513-319-1413 as soon as possible – preferably before 6:00 a.m.  Reservations for all riders with a scheduled trip to your agency on a day when opening is delayed will be canceled for trips both to/from your agency.

Early Closings – If your agency has an early closing, Access will be unable to provide early pick-ups.  Due to the volume of trips each day, as well as the tight scheduling of reservations and trip planning, Access must remain on schedule.  Original pick-up times will be in effect for all return trips from your agency.

Emergency Closings – In the event that your agency has an emergency closing, please contact Mike Roth, MV General Manager at 513-319-1413 as soon as possible – preferably before 6:00 a.m.  In addition, please provide written follow up by faxing a statement to 513-531-6960 or emailing mroth@mvtransit.com or zachary.huffman@mvtransit.comReservations for all riders with a scheduled trip to your agency on a day when there is an emergency closing will be canceled for trips both to/from your agency.

Holidays and planned closings (such as in-services, etc.), please contact Mike Roth at 513-319-1413 to advise him of the closing, prior to 5 p.m. the evening before the closure.  If you have a listing of closings for the year, you may provide the dates to him by faxing the list to 513-531-6960.  Each agency is responsible for any changes to the schedule once submitted to Access.
