Advocacy

Diana and BillHamilton County DD Services has an active advocacy community. Many individuals serve on boards, committees, and are active in politics to spread the word about achievements of people with disabilities and have their voices heard. Advocacy also means that people can have a say in what they want in their lives.

Leaders in Action works with individuals with disabilities to learn how to be advocate leaders. The group meets at the Hamilton County DD Services' Support Center, 1520 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Oh 45206.

Anyone who receives services is invited to any of the meetings. The group meets four times a month:

  • The first Monday at noon
  • The second Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
  • The third Tuesday at noon
  • The fourth Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Most meetings are at Support Center in The Gathering Place at 1520 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.

The Advocacy Department also has "Learning for Life" trainings and events. Check out the calendar for dates and more info.
