We’re excited to introduce Amber Cowart as the HCDDS Advocacy Coordinator! "I am super honored and excited to be named the new advocacy coordinator for our agency. I look forward to supporting all those we serve, along with their families," she said.

Previously, Amber was an HCDDS service and support administrator and community navigator. As Advocacy Coordinator, she hopes to work on customer service training with providers and bring inclusion and advocacy to younger children in local schools.

“Since joining our team in June 2019, Amber fully immersed herself into all that is ALIFE, its mission and objectives,” said Eric Metzger, director of the Advocacy, Life Course Planning, Inclusion and Family Engagement (ALIFE) team. “Amber has risen to every challenge, championing people with developmental disabilities and building incredible relationships and trust among all with whom we work.”

Amber started her new role on Aug. 19. You can reach her via email.
