We'd like to welcome Dr. Tasha Faruqui and Deana Taylor to the Board of Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities. They were appointed to a four-year term by the Hamilton County Commissioners and attended their first meeting Jan. 9.

Dr. Faruqui is a pediatrician at TriHealth Partners who works with children with a variety of disabilities. She participates in their transition of care as they become adults. Dr. Faruqui also brings a valuable perspective as a mother of a child with a disability. Dr. Faruqui earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her doctorate from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also serves as co-chair of the DDBP Family Advisory Council at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Deana Taylor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the nonprofit and social services sector. She is vice president of human resources at 3CDC. Taylor earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Cincinnati and her Juris doctorate from Chase College of Law. Previously, she served in various roles at Envision, Lighthouse Youth Services, and Hamilton County Job and Family Services.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Deana and Tasha to our board,” said HCDDS superintendent Alice Pavey. “They both bring valuable experience and unique perspectives that will greatly benefit our board and help advance our mission.”

Faruqui and Taylor were appointed to replace April Flagler and Robert Harris, who left the Board at the end of their terms.
